Biostatistics: seeking the right answers
Biostatistics make up a big share of all services provided by Data MATRIX. Our experts took part in study planning and data analysis for more than 160 projects. When working on these projects, they solved challenging tasks and tackled controversial issues. Our biostatistician Vladimir Mladov shared the solution for one such issue he faced recently.
In his article ‘Why SAS and R give different results for logistic regression’ Vladimir provides a case study on building models based on logistic regression to analyze the possible correlation between a number of initial characteristics of patients with hepatitis C and the success of treatment. He found out that sometimes the results for SAS and R packages do not coincide.
To learn why this happens and how to find the right answer, read Vladimir’s article on one of the most popular European media for IT professionals, Habrahabr.
