Data MATRIX is a unique provider of services for the Real World Evidence studies using Russian and foreign datasets, data processing and biostatistics and developer of software products for RWD-based studies. Since 2021 Data MATRIX has been the first and exclusive company in Russia that can legally collect anonymized data from medical facilities for RWE (Real-World Evidence) studies. The company's portfolio includes more than 200 projects for pharmaceutical, biotech companies and contract research organizations. By joining forces with partners, the Data MATRIX company can use data for scientific and commercial purposes: to monitor drug safety in real clinical practice, to compare different treatment methods, to identify patients' medical needs, and to find new uses for drugs. Also Data MATRIX products include applications such as EDC, IWRS and ePRO.

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our team.

Business Development Manager at Data MATRIX develops sales strategies in line with the company’s vision, and communicates the company’s strengths and values to maintain the flow of incoming requests for the services and business from ongoing and potential Sponsors.

Main activities include but are not limited to:

  • Developing relationships with potential Sponsors interested in partnering, and maintaining the communication until contract signature and handover to other Departments
  • Responding to RFPs (requests for proposals) from Sponsors
  • Developing proposals and budgets alongside the feasibility team, and proposal writers
  • Negotiating budgets with Sponsors
  • Participating in bid defense meetings if required
  • Identifying trends and potential leads by researching industry-related developments and events, publications, and announcements; identifying key opinion leaders
  • Attending professional events and conferences when required
  • Representing the company at professional business events
  • Supporting internal Marketing and Business Development campaigns, providing follow up calls and assistance
  • Researching and analyzing markets and trends in RWE studies


  • University Degree
  • At least 3+years of Business Development experience with IT products or data management
  • Proven relationships management skills
  • Proven interpersonal communication skills
  • Positive drive and motivation
  • Proven strategic business acumen
  • Self-discipline and ability to work both alone and within a team environment
  • Excellent English and Russian, both spoken and written
  • Ability to work in different cultural environments
  • Strong time-management skills
  • Willingness to travel inside and outside of Russia for conferences, meetings etc.
  • Proficient in MS Office
